In the Footsteps of Harry Potter
1) Warner Bros Studios
The first place every Harry Potter fan must visit in London is the Warner Bros studio where Harry Potter was filmed. The studios are located in Leavesden, in the town of Watford. Therefore, we recommend purchasing tickets that also include transportation. The cheapest tickets we found were through the GetYourGuide portal (click on the image to the right).
On the official Warner Bros website, you can also pay extra for transportation on a branded bus (which is thematically decorated).
Be sure to book this activity well in advance, ideally two weeks ahead, to ensure you get some tickets.
When we wanted to buy our tickets, they were unfortunately sold out. However, we know many people who have visited this place, and everyone was very AMAZED. In addition to visiting Dumbledore's office and tasting pumpkin juice, butterbeer, you will also have the chance to fly on a broomstick.
2) Harry Potter-Themed Bar
In London, there are two bars inspired by Harry Potter (Cauldron and Exploratorium). Both bars are owned by the same owners. A reservation is necessary at least two weeks in advance. They offer several activities, but we definitely recommend "potion making." The price for this program is £40 (approximately €48), but if you're a fan, you definitely won't regret it.
As soon as you enter, you will receive a robe and a wand. Be sure not to lose your wand, as you will need it for the "Welcome drink," and you can also use it to call the staff. Just wave it over your head. After you're seated, a basket with various ingredients and instructions for making your own magical cocktails will be brought to you. Warning: It will be bubbly and smoky!!!!
In addition to your own drinks, the bar has prepared other surprises for you. Various puzzles and riddles are scattered around the bar. If you solve them correctly, you will receive a drink on the house. We managed to solve it about two minutes before the end of our reservation. The reservation is for two hours.
We were at The Cauldron Bar. The only thing that decrease the enthusiasm about the experience was the surroundings of the bar. The bar is located in Dalton, which is quite dirty, and we also encountered a few strange creatures. It didn't seem like a safe neighborhood.
3) Platform 9¾
At King's Cross station, there is a symbolic Platform 9¾ where Harry and his friends boarded the Hogwarts Express. You can take a photo here with a trolley that "disappears" into the wall. We were slightly disappointed because the "disappearing" trolley is not actually on the platform like in the movie, but in the hall. You'll also need to wait for this photo opportunity; we spent about 30 minutes in line. There is also a souvenir shop at the station, filled with magical items.
4) Leadenhall Market
A historic market in London that was used as the exterior for Diagon Alley in the first movie, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." The entrance to the Leaky Cauldron is located on Bull's Head Passage. The architecture of the market gives the place a magical atmosphere.
5) Millenium Bridge

This modern bridge is famous for being destroyed by Death Eaters in the film "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." It is located near St. Paul's Cathedral and offers a stunning view of the River Thames and the city.
6) Palace Theatre
Home to the play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," which continues the story from the original books. Although it is not a filming location, it is a great opportunity to experience the magical story live. We attended this show in New York, USA. The performance was very interesting, and many things were truly magical. We sat in the middle of the balcony. I have to say, when the Dementor flew off the stage and almost reached me, it was quite an intense experience.
